Quarantine Edition:

I was sitting in my dining room, looking at the beautiful vase my mother made for me (pictured above). So I called her and told her how much joy it brings me. As we chatted, she asked, “How are the boys? What are you going to do?” and before I could shut the door, panic swept in.
If I think about tomorrow, I get scared. So I’m going to stay right here, right now. Because the reality is, we don’t know what tomorrow holds. We never did. We just thought we had control. We don’t.

So instead of focusing on the questions that have no answers, I am choosing to focus on one thing:
What can I do?

A lot. I have about 7,000 open tabs on my computer of all the things to occupy me. Learning a new language on Duolingo, being entertained by art or artists on YouTubeand Instagram, getting around to the DIY projects I have on my list. I check the news once per day at the end of the day and get updated. A controlled news diet lowers stress levels. Indulge in art.

Here’s a few ideas to keep you and your family engaged, occupied and growing. I’ll keep sending them because together, we win. If you have some good ones, send them to me. I’d love to check them out. Feedback is always welcome. Sending content is even better.

Until soon,
Emily
