I’m so grateful for the incredible clients I’ve worked with and the amazing team I’ve head the pleasure of being a part of. Thank you for making these 15 years so special — looking forward to many more.

If you told me where I would be now…

Some people come to their professions by chance. Some because they are born into it. I became and actor because it was the only thing people really encouraged me to do. It was fine and I was successful, but I didn’t enjoy it. It didn’t check my boxes.

You’ll hear me talk about this a lot (checking boxes) because I tell my clients that when they are looking for a home, to make a list of what they want, rank and prioritize them so that when they find a house that checks the top 3-5, they can go all-in and make it theirs. Its very effective. Acting was creative (when I was actually doing it) but I had no control over my life, schedule, or income. I did not feel respected (even after 15 years in that business) and most importantly, I didn’t feel like the work I was being hired to do was actually making a difference in the world. I wasn’t helping people. One day in 2018 I did my own exercise, wrote down what I wanted, and the answer became crystal clear. I retired from acting the next day and went all-in on Real Estate. I have not regretted my decision. Not once.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy. I work my butt off every day, and I am very grateful that I landed at Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s the only brokerage I have ever known and from what other agents have told me, I know it’s the best. I’m grateful to be in a place where I feel valued, supported, and respected. And I know they have my back. I feel like I’m home here and I never thought that would be possible.

Here’s to more great things yet to come.

Until soon,

Emily
